West Hallam and Mapperley Church & Community Magazine
The Parish Magazine of West Hallam seems to have been issued first in January 1860, by the Revd C J Newdigate and continued until December 1863, when it appears to have lapsed. It was revived by the Revd C W Birley in January 1901, and has continued in different forms from then until now.
Mapperley had their own magazine in 1903 until 1908 and then over the years they were both separate and joint according to if we had separate vicars for West Hallam & Mapperley. The Vicarage in Mapperley was sold in 1952 so after this time and until the present day the magazine was combined for West Hallam and Mapperley.
Anyone interested in viewing back copies going back to 1860 until the present day can do so by visiting Derbyshire County Archives in Matlock. Duplicate copies dating back to 1984 are held in The Rectory, West Hallam.
