August 1997 Article on the retirement of Pat Gould from Derby Church House. Pat Retired as Assistant Diocesan Secretary after 30 years and was presented with a bouquet and £1000 given by synod members. At the presentation the Bishop of Derby praised not only the quantity but the quality of Pats work. December 1997 RIP

A tribute was made to Frank in the magazine. Frank was born and grew up in Mapperley. He had 3 brothers and 3 sisters and for many years lived at Woodside Cottage at Park Hall. He married Florence in 1938 and they celebrated their diamond wedding in January this year (19980). They had two sons, Raymond and Aubrey. Gardening was his passion and he planted hundreds of daffodil bulbs under the trees at the top of Mapperley Lane. He was a true gentle man. August 1998 Meetings arranged to discuss plans for significant further development at the American Adventure. A report on Mapperley village Summer Fayre which took place on 28th June. A total of £1232 was raised. A report on the West Hallam and Mapperley Well Dressings September 1998 A Thanksgiving Service was held to remember those who had passed away over the last year. The following are words written and read by Laura Cook, age 7 years, about her Gran Muriel Durow (09.01.96) and Granddad (13.05.98)
